My name is Mrs. Melissa Bazzell. This will be my seventh year at Cuba Elementary. I am very excited to start another wonderful year as a Cuba Cub. I have been married for 9 years to my wonderful husband Jesse, and have a son, Kolt, who will be 7 this November and a daughter, Avyn, who just turned 3 in May. I also have two St. Bernards named Kahlua and Moe. When I am not at school, I spend most of my time at my clothing/gift store in Mayfield called PeachyKeen Boutique. I also love to read, create things from Pinterest, dance, kick-box, and watch Louisville Cardinal sports. My son and I are currently learning how to play the piano--which is a new adventure for us both. I've listed some of my favorite things on the homepage make sure to check them out! My Bachelors and Masters degrees are both in early childhood education because kindergarten is the perfect place for me:) I believe that young children learn the best through hands-on experience, art, games, music and FUN! I look forward to getting to know each student and hope that I help to inspire a love for learning.
